We are a group of out-of-the-box thinkers, interested in: --physical self-sufficiency gained from human-powered machines (ex. bicycle clothes-washing machine) --super efficient wood-fired cookstoves and ovens. --natural building ie. timber framing, stonework, straw bales, earthen plasters, reclaimed building supplies etc. --subsistence food production and preservation --organic food production --community building --educating people in self-sufficiency and natural health

There are plenty of amateur (ham) radio groups, nets, gatherings, and events in the area between Western Massachusetts and Central Connecticut (the so-called Knowledge Corridor). However, there isn't a Meetup group about Amateur (Ham) radio in the area. We will be visiting local groups, participate on the nets, get informed about local gatherings, and meet in person. This will be a one-stop resource about all things Amateur (Ham) Radio and Emergency Preparedness!
